Recently when I was just playing with my code here, I found out that there is a website that is called TinyURL. I always have long urls in the code and I thought it was a great idea and help to put it online. So if you have long URL's and you would like to make it short and hide for some good reasons, then visit this site I personally use it and I thought I would put this little post for people who did not know. Code is poetry, I read somewhere and I think who ever wrote that is right. It takes a lot of time to learn a language and coding, but once you learn it pay off is great. So if you want to make money online, the first thing you should do it learn a language that you would feel comfy with. Once you learn it, it is easy. I wish with our tea houses we have some kind of learning ideas including computers. So once I earn enough revenue from Google Adsense, I will open up a free cafe for beginners. That is a promiss. Students will be able to come and learn for fee as well as use free internet and open source programmes. I just need a little bit more time to get it all planned and organized. So until next time, please take care and spread the word about TEA-HOUSES!Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32285416.post-65714317071382507342008-03-02T20:44:00.000-08:002008-03-02T20:49:40.251-08:00WE ARE NOT FORGOTTEN!COLORADANS BAND TOGETHER TO HELP STARVING THOUSANDS IN TAJIKISTAN

Sister City Demonstrates True Meaning of "Family" with Relief Effort
for Tajik Victims of Worst Winter in Memory

BOULDER, CO - February 28, 2008 - The citizenry of Boulder, Colorado
and surrounding areas are taking part in a massive relief effort to
help get food to Tajikistan, where the harshest winter in memory has
sapped energy resources and caused food shortages so severe that the
U.N. has declared that as many as 250,000 Tajik residents are in need
of "immediate food aid."

Boulder shares a unique bond with Tajikistan: the capital of
Tajikistan, Dushanbe, is Boulder's sister city. That in itself may
not be so unusual, but how many sister cities can boast an iconic tea
house, hand-crafted and shipped piece by piece across oceans and
miles, to be reassembled and become one of the city's most beloved
fixtures?

That tea house is the Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse, which was built by
hand in Tajikistan over the course of two years, and then shipped to
Boulder, as a gift from the people of Dushanbe to their sister city,
in 1990. Since its arrival, re-assembly, and opening, the Boulder
Dushanbe Teahouse has become one of the best-loved spots in all of
Boulder. And with good reason - the handiwork of the Tajiki
craftsman and artisans is truly something to behold, and the tea
house is a gift beyond compare.

In exchange, Boulder is constructing a cyber cafe for Dushanbe. The
cafe will be a model of many different green construction techniques,
giving Dushanbe not only a cyber cafe, but a living model of new
energy-saving construction techniques.

But right now the people of Dushanbe need something much more
immediate. Something much more urgent.

"Now it's time for the citizens of Boulder to repay the kindness, and
come to the aid of their generous Tajiki friends," explains Anne P.
Mitchell, organizer of Boulder Dushanbe Relief (http://
www.DushanbeRelief.org/). "Tajikistan is suffering what has been
referred to as 'the worst winter in living memory'. The power plants
there are barely generating enough power to provide heat for a few
hours a day - the rest of the day and night there is no heat; people
are freezing to death. And they have no food."

The Boulder Dushanbe Relief effort, which is working with the United
Nation's World Food Programme, is a joint relief effort coordinated
by Mitchell, and supported by the Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse, the
Boulder Dushanbe Sister City organization, and Mitchell's own
organization, ISIPP. Boulder Dushanbe Relief will be coordinating a
series of fund raising drives and events over the course of the next
three weeks, including dinners, silent auctions, and a reception for
a visiting delegation from Dushanbe, and culminating with the annual
Navruz Festival at the teahouse on Sunday, March 16th. The funds
raised will be used by the U.N.'s World Food Programme to put food
directly in the hands of the people of Tajikistan.

Explains Lenny Martinelli, proprietor of the Boulder Dushanbe
Teahouse, "I have been in the unique position to see on a daily basis
what the gift of the Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse has meant to the
people of Boulder. To be able to now in some small way return the
favor to the people of Dushanbe in their time of need is not only the
right thing to do - it's a privilege."

"Our thoughts and hearts go out to the people of Dushanbe and
Tajikistan during their time of need. Through our sister city ties
we have learned that Tajiks are among the most generous and
hospitable people in the world. We can follow their example now,"
said Sophia Stoller, a member of the board of the Boulder Dushanbe
Sister City organization. "To be able to help our sister city of
Dushanbe in such an immediate and tangible way when they desperately
need it is exactly what the sister city relationship is,
fundamentally, all about, and we are thrilled to be able to help to
facilitate this effort," added Stoller.

In addition to the various fund raising events and activities that
the Boulder Dushanbe Relief effort is organizing, corporate and
individual donations can be made through the Boulder Dushanbe Relief
website at http://www.DushanbeRelief.org/. The website also offers a
schedule of events and activities.

"I have to believe that if the people of Boulder knew what the people
of Dushanbe were going through right now, they would open their
hearts, and their wallets," said Mitchell.

For more information, or to donate to Boulder Dushanbe Relief, see
http://www.DushanbeRelief.com, or send email to dushanbe@isipp.com.

---

About Boulder Dushanbe Relief

Boulder Dushanbe Relief is the cooperative effort between the Boulder
Dushanbe Teahous (http://www.boulderteahouse.com/) the Boulder
Dushanbe Sister City organization (http://www.boulder-dushanbe.org/),
and the Institute for Spam and Internet Public Policy (http://
www.isipp.com/). Would you like to guess where these pictures are from? It is soo green and beautiful. Your eyes would love this scenes if one was in a cold place like Tajikistan. As a result of the cold weather my heating system at home broke. It was so cold that everything was frozen and now I am looking to buy a new heating system. If you have anything to offer or suggest, please kindly do. I will most probably be looking at all the options this summer. For now we can dream about warm weather. Even though Turkmenistan is giving us more electricity we know that it will not be enough until we fix our own problems. I am sure this year coal prices will go up as people will anticipate that there will be much more cold weather next year. I am sure people are already thinking of this business.

For now, we can just watch the pictures below and think about TROPICS!

Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32285416.post-36947656727093452002008-01-28T21:35:00.000-08:002008-01-28T21:36:13.238-08:00Beautiful scenes at the Colombo Zoo

Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32285416.post-79894215319843460712008-01-08T04:06:00.000-08:002008-01-08T04:22:00.698-08:00Tea House CeilingsThis tea house ceilings are more than 100 years old. Currently, citizens of Khujand are receiving electiricty and gas supply 3 hours per day only; With all it's hydro power potential Tajkistan is still behind and people are hungry for electricity! Small generator business is booming; So if you are in a generator business this is the time to get in; Investing in electricity at this time could bring good results in coming years.

To follow up on previous posts. Road from Aybek border and Khujand is at it's final stages, so if you are traveling via Tashkent, this cold be the quickest way to reach the Northern part. The limit has been lifted and finally I can watch BBC news late evenings. It is a great feeling to have electricity at home!!!

Investors wanting to invest in Tajikistan should consider investing in small dams here. Recently local news reported a person generating electricity using a tracktor engine. He has invested almost US$ 2,000 to build the hydrogenerator. However, I wish our government creates a programme to support this kind of business. Although he has made the electricity for his village, it would have been nice to receive insentives if connected to national grid. I don't know what our law makers are working on...

Until next time, God bless!!!Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32285416.post-5028347891984564182007-04-05T02:08:00.000-07:002007-04-05T02:39:16.685-07:00Roads in Tajikistan are beeing fixed!Thrusday, April 5, 2007.

Chinees are contributing a lot of money to fix Tajik roads. Currently they are working from Aybek border of Uzbekistan to Khujand and from Khujand to Kanibadam and Ura-Tube roads. It looks like soon businesses will flow to Northern Tajikistan. With the weather now becoming warm they just might finish it early. Today for example after a long week of rain it is 23 degrees centigrate outside.

So anybody wishing to travel on these roads should use TOYOTA Land cruiser or similar vehicles. You can rent vehicles from private persons if you arrive to Khujand or Sughd Region. If you are not familiar just send me an e-mail and I can put you in contact. If you are looking to travel to Tashkent through Khujand, a renting of a vehicle can also be arranged at costs between US$ 60 - $100 depending on the vehicle. However, I would recommend TOYOTA with airconditioning again for roads here.

Recently couple of people have contacted and wanted to know about hotel bookings as well. This can also be arranged just send me an e-mail. Ticket purchases are not a big problem nowdays. The good news is that Tajikistan Airlines has approximalty 5 flights per day to Dushanbe.

If you are looking for appartment rentals and would like to travel to mountains, just drop me an e-mail and all will be taken care. For bird and mountain lovers this year is the time to get out and visit Tajikistan, especially Shahristan mountains.

Good luck, until next time take care.Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32285416.post-2967748957064793712007-01-09T00:58:00.000-08:002007-01-09T01:02:36.273-08:00We have our own GROUP TAJIKZONE!If you like groups we have good news for you. The Tajik people's traditions in architecture and decorative art are most carefully preserved in the construction of national teahouses which have been the place of leisure and rest, meetings and talks since ancient days.

The elements of decor — engraving, stucco molding, wall painting — in the architecture of such teahouses can be seen in "Farogat", "Rohat", "Dilafruz" and
"Orom" tea houses around the country which indicate to their creators' had refined taste. Especially attractive is the "Sino" teahouse in the "Zumrad" sanatorium of Isfara region of Northern part of Tajikistan.

Once there was an ancient Middle Age monument Kalai-Bolo at the "Puli Hissor" gates in Isfara. Unfortunately, it had been taken down and later the "Zumrad" sanatorium grew in its place. It is situated on the bank of the small and cool Isfara river surrounded by the "Childukhtaron" fabulous mountains and wonderful apricot gardens.
However, the pearl of this exotic beautiful eastern corner is the "Sino" teahouse. It attracts visitors not only by its aromatic tea but first of all, by its beautiful decor. The creative skill of the people's craftsmen have been embodied in the decoration of the engraved columns, the wooden ceiling and the gunch (plaster) wall-panels.

The delicate vegetation design performed in rich and glowing colours creates the image of a blooming garden lending lightness and freshness to the building. The best masters of painting expressed their own rich imagination in strict conformity with the style of the folk ornamental school.

One of the artistic canons in the art of ornament is the uniqueness of the design. Inimitable in this respect are the columns performed by the masters guided by usto (master) A. Kuldoshev. Every one of them is a real masterpiece of art.

The best trends in the Tajik architecture are based on harmony and coordination of architectural, planning, engineering, constructive and decorative methods. A building perfectly constructed and decorated, is known to exert favorable influence on one's psychological state. Art has great emotional power. It makes a person feel, inspires optimism, carries him away from gloomy thoughts, and gives him/her strength and confidence. That is why the creation of masterpieces like "Sino" is so important. While decorative design contributes to the people’s artistic education it also enlightens part of the human role-played there, which also carries with it for centuries.

THE “SINO” TEA-HOUSE

A little background: It was the summer of 1978. A group of people and Mr. Matveev Anatoliy Nikoiaevich, an executive from the USSR Ministry of Agriculture had visited the sanatorium to inspect the work of the health resort. From the first sight they were fascinated by the fantastic nature, by the clean mountain air, shadowy lanes of young branchy trees and by the bright flowerbeds. Having tasted the sweet fruit of mulberry trees, grapes, peaches, apricots Anatoliy gratefully shook hands with the gardeners who managed to grow them. Walking along the Isfara riverbank, admiring the Zarboft river waterfall and having refreshed himself, with its clean cool water, he kept saying: “You have built paradise, my friends”. The guest's admiration made people recollect the bait inscribed on the main portal of the Indian Taj-mahal — the worlds famous monument of culture.

If there is a Paradise, It is here!

The next day Anatoliy Nikoiaevich and colleagues set out to Isfara. After the sightseeing they made up their minds to have tea at the «Orom» teahouse situated on the Isfara riverbank in the very centre of the town.

Anatoliy Nikoiaevich was astonished by the nice wall painting in the teahouse and he heaped questions upon his colleagues and the head of the district agricultural management who willingly told them about the national traditions and art.

Suddenly Anatoliy Nikoiaevich, having taken a sip of tea out of a nice cup (piala) with a picture of the "Orom" teahouse on it, addressed his colleagues dreamingly:

— If only Mirzo undertook to build a teahouse like this in one of the corners in the sanatorium area it could be even more beautiful and would attract more visitors to the health resort.

Those present, liked the idea and were surprised at the thought that his idea coincided with their own long-standing intention, though they were afraid of the great responsibility and all those difficulties and the undertaking that was filled with. Anatoiy Nikoiaevich noticed a hesitation and asked with a smile:
— Does everybody agree to suggestion?
And why are you silent then?
— One of the colleagues said, I doubt if I can cope, — timidly.
— You can, — everybody exclaimed. We'll help you!

Frankly speaking, the guest’s proposal and support they have received did not motivate them. However, they went to the town Party Committee where they would meet with its first secretary Mr. U. Kurbonov and discuss their plans into official documents.

This is how they began the building of a teahouse, which was named after Abuali-ibn-Sino, the greatest scientist and thinker of the East.

The teahouse was to be a unique building as far as its architecture, artistic design and functioning were concerned it was to incarnate this idea of chief engineer Mr. A. Sattorov. They went around not only in the Republic but also to the neighboring Ferghana valley and Sai kand regions. They examined both the ancient monuments and national style buildings. Afterwards, they submitted their project to several Institutes of the Republic.

However, they were appreciated at first and then the State Building Committee the Tajik Council of Ministers suggested that the national house should be designed by the Building Department of Isfara Town Executive Committee. After the design was approved a competition was announced to choose the best carpenters, engravers, painters and well-known masters that took part in building the national teahouse.

As a result of a careful selection a well-known master Abdugafur Yunusov was chosen of all builders and carpenters, while Asfiekhoja Amonulloev and Kokhoja Safoev, the first painters in the Ferghana valley were seen as the best painters. Usto Abdukhamid Kuldoshev and his sons Abdulkhakim and Abdusobit — as the engravers, skilled hands of these masters were to create the incomparable national teahouse in one of the most picturesque nooks in the area.

To be continued…

Until next time, God bless you all;Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32285416.post-16574409996488530592006-12-24T08:22:00.000-08:002006-12-24T08:51:35.685-08:00Snap Preview it Anywhere!!!24 December 2006 20:20 p.m.

I found this great site click here it's something cool that you might want to use it for your blog; I think its great that it is free. Special attention is being paid to the problem of national color in architecture, the perfection being attained in close and creative cooperation of architects, builders, engravers, painters and skilled craftsmen. The Tajik people's traditions in architecture and decorative art are most carefully preserved in the construction of national tea-houses which have been the place of leisure and rest, meetings and talks since old days. The elements of decor — engraving, stucco molding, wall painting — in the architecture of such teahouses can be found in “Farogat”, “Rohat”, “Dilafruz” (in Dushanbe) tea-houses and «Orom» (in Isfara) indicate to their creators' refined taste.

Now, a new private company located in Tajikistan is changing the old fashion way of building and selling Tajik – tea houses. They are promising in the near future to operate a website where users from around the world would be able to place their own orders directly with them. Among other products visitors would be able to order ceilings, tables and ready made tea-houses from any corner of the world. So if you are building a restaurant don’t rush with your projects. You could have that wonderful Tajik ceiling you have always wanted.

They say picture worth a thousand words. I received a special permission to publish these pictures on Blogger.com from the company. We agreed that it would not be considered advertisement and that they own the rights to their pictures and products!

See picture above.

Until next time. God bless. !!!

ENDUnknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32285416.post-1155671755165672092006-08-15T12:26:00.000-07:002006-08-15T12:55:55.223-07:00Life is a Movie...
(The name of the picture: Tea house drawings)

15 August 2006

Today, I received an e-mail from a fellow who had visited the blog created. This motivated me to write couple of words for my memory and for good visitors from Blogger.com; Moreover, I had to tell the remaining story about our police...

Very quickly, we were in a rush this afternoon. For the first time in 14 years of my driving record I had been stopped by a police officer who told me that I had run a RED light and that I must pay the fee to the government some 40 Somoni. (Somoni is a Tajik national currency); directly to him!

I asked if 5 Somoni would do for the first time as I had left my wallet at home. He smiled and gave back my licence and registration that he had confiscated earlier. Immagine bribing a police officer with less then US$ 2 in the States or Europe...

I came to a conclusion today! Why pay the government when you can pay the employee and get the job done! I must tell you that, recently we have been blessed by repairing of the roads in here... so we are looking forward in paying more road taxes.

On the subject of "bribing", I can offcourse for my memory write the good officers tag number which I noted down while leaving, but he probably has 6 kids to feed so I will pass on this time. However, I will agree fully that I should not have done what I did. It's just a bad example....

I think a person who would create a webpage for counting number of bribes people pay every day to get their jobs done, he/she would make a quick million. I must stop here. If I continue, then you would very quickly become a billionair as well.

A note for my self and others: Until next time, please take care of yourself and your family...ENDUnknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32285416.post-1154880629506990052006-08-06T08:55:00.001-07:002006-08-06T09:31:59.746-07:00Tajikzone
(Name of the picture: A surprise look) Masrurjon 2 Years old at Honey Festival in Khujand, Tajikistan 05 August 2006;

Khujand, Tajikistan 21:01 p.m. 06 August 2006.

Thanks to Blogger.com, people from poor economies like Tajikistan have a chance to publish something and perhaps create some discussions which would lead to a better life for poor nations.
