Order your own Tea-house!

Khujand, Tajikistan 18:19 p.m. 23 August 2006.

New forms and ways of architectural expressiveness are used in the construction of houses of culture so called “tea-houses” as well as public buildings widely spread in Tajikistan over the last years. Special attention is being paid to the problem of national color in architecture, the perfection being attained in close and creative cooperation of architects, builders, engravers, painters and skilled craftsmen. The Tajik people's traditions in architecture and decorative art are most carefully preserved in the construction of national tea-houses which have been the place of leisure and rest, meetings and talks since old days. The elements of decor — engraving, stucco molding, wall painting — in the architecture of such teahouses can be found in “Farogat”, “Rohat”, “Dilafruz” (in Dushanbe) tea-houses and «Orom» (in Isfara) indicate to their creators' refined taste.

Now, a new private company located in Tajikistan is changing the old fashion way of building and selling Tajik – tea houses. They are promising in the near future to operate a website where users from around the world would be able to place their own orders directly with them. Among other products visitors would be able to order ceilings, tables and ready made tea-houses from any corner of the world. So if you are building a restaurant don’t rush with your projects. You could have that wonderful Tajik ceiling you have always wanted.

They say picture worth a thousand words. I received a special permission to publish these pictures on Blogger.com from the company. We agreed that it would not be considered advertisement and that they own the rights to their pictures and products!

See picture above.

Until next time. God bless. !!!
